KCD2 CO-OP · WITH FRIENDS

Play KCD2 with your friends.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has no co-op mode. Kingdoms Connected puts you and your friends in the same Bohemia anyway: not the story, but a shared open world you shape together.

Does KCD2 have co-op?

No. Warhorse Studios made Kingdom Come: Deliverance II as a single-player game, and there is no official co-op, online or split-screen mode. Kingdoms Connected is a free, community-made mod that adds online multiplayer on dedicated servers, from two friends up to 512 players.

What it is not: a co-op campaign. The story is written for one Henry, so Kingdoms Connected does not share story quests. What you play together is decided by each server’s game mode, and those are growing quickly.

What you can do together

  • Ride out together

Saddle up and take the same roads, with every horse walking, running and jumping in step with its rider. Drive a cart with a friend on the rail.

  • Spar and duel

Fight each other with the game’s own targeting, blocks and perfect blocks, and pick up a friend who goes down.

  • Talk as you play

Proximity voice chat carries to whoever stands near you, with whisper, normal and shout ranges.

  • Run a camp or a town

Share chests and stashes, trade at server vendors, and, where the server allows it, keep your horse and dog in the world after you log off.

  • Play scripted quests

Servers can write their own quests into the game’s journal, with objectives on the map and compass.

  • Build a place of your own

Raise a watchtower with build mode, and set the castle ablaze with the game’s own fire effects.

Everything in the list is in the current build. See the full list of features and what each release added in the changelog.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

KCD2 co-op,
answered.

Straight answers, taken from the Kingdoms Connected documentation.

Can you play the KCD2 story in co-op?

No. The campaign is built for one Henry, and Kingdoms Connected does not share story quests between players. Multiplayer happens in the open world, on servers whose game modes are written for several players.

Can I play KCD2 with just one friend?

Yes. Either of you can run a dedicated server on your own PC and the other connects to its address, or you both join the same public server.

Is split-screen or couch co-op possible?

No. Each player needs their own PC and their own copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II on Steam.

Do my friends need the same DLCs?

Only if the server requires them. A server can ask for Legacy of the Forge or Mysteria Ecclesiae, and a player without it is told which one before connecting.
